After learning that Taylor Swift is the subject of the former Disney star's hate song, fans are outraged.

Swift superfans, or "Swifties," thought that Rodrigo's recent single "Guts" off Swift's upcoming album was about the pop singer.

Rodrigo's lyrics for her track "The Grudge" seemed to be about a poor relationship or companionship she previously liked.

"I have nightmares every week about that Friday in May, when one phone call from you changed my entire world," the lyrics read.

"Ooh, your vitriol-filled flowers, you built me up to watch me fall." You have everything and still desire more.

As fans criticized the "Driver's License" vocalist, rumors circulated that Rodrigo's lyrics were directed at her.

"[T]he grudge is so much about Taylor that I'd put my life on it," one Swift fan posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"So we're just ignoring that the grudge is most definitely about Taylor......," another irritated fan remarked.
