After Olivia Rodrigo covered one of his songs, Noah Kahan does a transformative rendition of her song, "Lacy."

Olivia Rodrigo and Noah Kahan are in love with one other.

The singer-songwriter, 26, paid the pop sensation, 20, a little more than a month after she posted a copy of her song "Stick Season," a successful tune by the up-and-coming folk musician.

Kahan played "Lacy" from Rodrigo's most recent album GUTS on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. The radio station released the song online on Thursday.

The three joined Kahan, as did his opening act for the U.K. and Europe, Tiny Habits, and together they turned the sombre pop number into a slow-motion lament about a bereaved lover.

The Vermont singer's singing gives the original song a wistful, heartbreaking air, while Rodrigo's delivery in it expresses jealously and self-disdain for feeling envious.

Producer and frequent partner of the "Vampire" singer Dan Nigro commented on Kahan's Instagram post with a video of the performance, expressing his admiration for the cover.

You got it! The Grammy-winning producer responded, "To be honest, I was expecting you were going to sing this song or The Grudge.
