Eagles urged to sign ex-Vikings pro bowler for $67 million.

Despite having a perfect record so far this season, the Philadelphia Eagles are experiencing trouble on defense because of injuries.

Anthony Barr, a linebacker who has played for the Minnesota Vikings for eight seasons and has been selected to four Pro Bowls, has been linked to the Eagles by Bleacher Report.

In 2019, Anthony Barr and the Vikings agreed to a large contract for $67.5 million over five years.

But in 2021, he and the Vikings reached an agreement to change his deal, bringing his salary down to $8.6 million.

With only three linebackers on their roster, the Eagles currently have no depth at off-ball linebacker.

Barr might act as both an insurance policy and a source of further knowledge in this role.

Barr had 58 total tackles in 14 games with the Cowboys last season, despite no longer being the four-time Pro Bowler he once was.

Barr received a performance grade of 59.7 out of 100 from Pro Football Focus for the 2022 campaign.
