Following a weight loss, Tom Brady says he feels "very fit."

Since retiring and separating from Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady hasn't felt as light as he does now that he's lost weight.

The 46-year-old quarterback revealed his weight loss on the most recent episode of the Let Go! Podcast on SiriusXM.

"Right now," he went on, "I'm actually very fit." Since I no longer feel the need to perform at a high level,

I've been able to devote more time to improving my physical fitness.

The former football player stressed that "it's important for everyone" to take care of their bodies.

"Both our physical and mental well-being are crucial to our success in life. What else do we have without that?" he said.

There are many things that you could put ahead of this: your job, your family, your friends, the greater good,

your community. At the end of the day, though, our bodily and mental well-being are the most important things we can have.
