Gregg Popovich's reaction to Victor Wembanyama's preseason debut was the most 'Pop' ever.

It's not often that a preseason NBA game has as much buzz and intrigue as the one that took place on Monday night between the San Antonio Spur

And the Oklahoma City Thunder. The preseason game included not only the NBA debut of Spurs No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama,

But also the Thunder's 2022 No. 2 overall pick Chet Holmgren, who missed all of last season due to a Lisfranc injury sustained during a preseason event prior to last season.

Fortunately for the fans, neither player disappointed — though it didn't stop Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich from responding exactly as you'd

Expect after Wembanyama's great night with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting, five rebounds, two steals, and one block.

"I thought that was all right. "He just went out there and played," Popovich said of Wembanyama's preseason debut, according to Jeff McDonald of

The San Antonio Express-News. "No big game plan or anything for him." He just played basketball, which he enjoys and is good at."

While Wembanyama certainly did his share in living up to the early hype in only 19 minutes of action, Holmgren did as well.

The former Gonzaga star scored 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting in 16 minutes, grabbing nine rebounds, one block, and one assist.
