Ja Morant Sends Inspiring Message On Being Grateful For 'The Hardship, Setbacks, And Bad People'

As he continues to sit on the bench as part of his 25-game suspension, Ja Morant took to X to share an encouraging message.

"Be grateful even in the face of adversity, setbacks, and bad people." Dealing with such challenges is an important part of learning the Art of Peace."

This quote is from Japanese martial artist Morihei Ueshiba's book The Art of Peace. We don't know if Morant is reading the New York Times bestseller

or just paraphrasing it, but I hope it's the former. Morant would benefit from the book's emphasis on compassion, fearlessness, and love of nature.

Ja has dealt with a lot in 2023, though much of it was his fault. He flashed a gun twice on Instagram Live, earning him a 25-game suspension,

and there were numerous other troubling off-court incidents, including when Ja allegedly punched a teenager. I hope the 24-year-old has used this time

to think about his actions and will emerge from this suspension a better man.

Given the number of controversies surrounding Morant, it was unavoidable that some would point the finger at his parents. Tee Morant,
