Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson Win 2023 ACMs With ‘Save Me’ Duet

Six months after Lainey Wilson and HARDY broke records for country music awards show performances at the 2022 CMAs,.

They made waves at the 2023 ACM Awards on Thursday, May 11, when they performed their duet "Save Me" in a fiery rendition with Jelly Roll.

Wilson claimed victory once more, and Jelly Roll put up a strong performance that cemented her status as one of the biggest breakout success stories of 2023.

After she broke the record for the most weeks at the top of Billboard's Emerging Artists Chart in February.

Although Jelly Roll's sound heavily incorporates elements of Southern hip-hop, the Tennessee musician was performing in a gritty country-blues setting at the Ford Center at the Star in Frisco, Texas.

With "Save Me," Wilson showed off her skill at sharing the stage while yet commanding attention. She then transitioned into a passionate solo performance of her song "Grease."

"Grease" is from Bell Bottom Country, which earned the ACM Award for album of the year not long after Wilson and Jelly Roll's performance.

Wilson remarked as she took the stage, "I'm blacking out." "That or this is why I'm out of breath," she remarked, gesturing to the platform where her recent performance took place and her latest accolade.
