Keanu Reeves loved black-and-white 'The Day The Earth...' 

When Hollywood hottie Keanu Reeves was approached to play the lead in the reimagining of the 1951 science fiction thriller "The Day the Earth Stood Still," 

which he had grown up watching on TV in the early 1980s, it was a dream come true for him.

I adored it when I first saw it on a black and white TV when I was 14 or 15.
