Messi: Fans love me after Argentina struggles—World Cup win 

Lionel Messi, who plays for Inter Miami CF, reflected on the difficult journey to the World Cup ,

trophy and expressed his happiness at converting criticism into acclaim in his native country,  

almost a year after he lifted it for Argentina in Qatar.One of Messi's greatest achievements from winning the World Cup and Copa América with Argentina, 

he said in an interview for the "Champions, a Year Later" special on Disney Star+, 

is the "beautiful feeling" of being loved by "95% or 100% of Argentines.""I had a negative experience. 

My loved ones and my family also did. [Argentine critics] said a lot of negative things about me and treated a generation of players unfairly. 

"I am not resentful," Messi declared."I consider it a victory to have turned that around ,

and gained the support of the entire Argentine population. I'm in love with 95% or 100% of Argentines now, and that's a lovely feeling."
