Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé Expects $30M+ Global Opening – Box Office Preview

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, AMC's second concert film, is expected to make a $30 million to $40 million global opening.

Which is expected to spice up what is usually a drab period at the box office—the post-Thanksgiving/early December downer corridor.

Just as Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, AMC's debut title, winds down on screens and ends up in homes for digital purchase on December 13.

A very bright spot at the fall box office with $250M WW, the second movie ever to be distributed wide by an exhibitor comes.

The Renaissance concert tour was a huge success, grossing close to $600 million in ticket sales, according to Live Nation back in August.

This made it the eighth-highest-grossing concert tour of all time and the second-highest-grossing tour by a woman.

However, sources have long claimed that the singer's appeal is very different from Taylor Swift's. Therefore, it was never realistic to expect Renaissance to have a first weekend in the United States akin to Eras Tour, which was the greatest this fall season with $92.8M domestic.

With a $20 million domestic opening weekend and maybe a $20 million international opening, the new film, which is popular with Black audiences and older ladies, will likely top the box office.
