Season 6 of Yellowstone was supposed to include the long-lost Dutton brother.

Christian musician Cory Asbury revealed in a recent interview that he was set to star in Season 6 of Yellowstone as a long-lost Dutton brother, but the show got canceled after a fallout between Kevin Costner and the producers.

Cory Asbury expressed his excitement about the role in an interview with Taste of Country but was disappointed when Yellowstone was ultimately canceled.

The singer-songwriter had hinted at his involvement in Yellowstone Season 6 during an Instagram Q&A, mentioning the cancellation with crying emojis.

On Instagram live, Asbury shared more details about his role, mentioning that he was supposed to be Kayce's long-lost brother, and the family was ready to move to Montana for a year.

Asbury had received the green light from his wife and kids to take on the role, but the planned meeting with Luke Grimes and creator Tyler Sheridan never happened.

Yellowstone Season 6 was set to continue with Asbury's character, but the cancellation of the show dashed those plans.

Asbury was fired up about the opportunity to join the Yellowstone cast but was left disappointed when the show came to an unexpected end.

Despite the anticipation and preparation for his role, Asbury's stint as Kayce's long-lost brother never materialized due to the cancellation of Yellowstone.
