Tom Holland Gives First MCU Spider-Man 4 Update In 5 Month

Tom Holland has finally revealed a new update on Spider-Man 4 nearly a year later, as the actor prepares to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Since the SAG-AFTRA strike ended this fall, an infinite number of films and television shows have been able to resume development or production.

Spider-Man 4 is one of them, with Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures eyeing it as a potential sequel trilogy for Holland's Peter Parker.

Since the finale of Spider-Man: No Way Home established a new era for the wall-crawler, the MCU audience has been speculating on what story Spider-Man 4 will tell.

Holland recently spoke with Collider about where he and the studios are with Spider-Man 4. While no release date has been announced, Holland has stated that he, Sony Pictures,

and Marvel Studios are "actively engaging in conversations" about the next Spider-Man film, sharing the following:Despite the fact that the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes have ended,

they have resulted in substantial delays and date rescheduling for Marvel Studios, particularly in 2024, when there will only be one MCU film in theatres.

Given this, it begs the issue of when Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios intend to release Spider-Man 4. With the creative team still working on a plot for Holland's web-crawler, it wouldn't be surprising if Spider-Man 4 isn't even ready for Phase 6 at this point.
