Former President Donald Trump's judicial appointees are making decisions against ,

him in a number of legal matters in which he is involved.Trump's attempt to invoke presidential immunity ,

from civil lawsuits regarding his alleged involvement in the January 6, 2021, 

riot at the U.S. Capitol was denied by a federal appeals court on Friday—at least for the time being. 

Judge Gregory Katsas, whom Trump appointed to the U.S. Circuit court on the D.C. Court of Appeals in 2017, 

was one of the three judges who rendered the decision. Katsas was also among Trump's prospective picks for the US Supreme Court.

The sole issue before us is whether President Trump has demonstrated an entitlement to official-act immunity ,

for his actions leading up to and on January 6 as alleged in the complaints," the panel of three judges wrote in a 3-0 decision. "We answer no, at least at this stage of the proceedings."
