Video of Dolphins First-Round LB Jaelan Phillips’ Achilles Injury Goes Viral

On Black Friday, the Miami Dolphins defeated the New York Jets, but the victory was bittersweet because former first-round linebacker Jaelan Phillips was carted off with an Achilles injury.

Not long after Phillips exited the game, a video of the non-contact play — published by JPAFootball on X — went viral.Phillips' right calf ripples in the video, as if he is releasing tension.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, "Phillips' Achilles appeared to pop on the replay.""It doesn't look great,"

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel admitted after the victory, "but we'll find out more tomorrow." He went on to say, "I don't want to get ahead of myself but [I'm] not fired up about it."

Phillips was also seen inside the locker room with two crutches and a right walking boot, according to Sun Sentinel beat reporter David Furones.
