Willie Nelson Gushes Over Wife Of 31 Year

As he enters his 90th year on this earth, Willie Nelson cherishes his wife more than ever before.

In the most recent issue of People, the country music icon pondered his 31-year marriage to Annie D'Angelo and the role she has played in his long life.

He made a joke about how he considered her his pet rattler. "She's my lover, my wife, nurse, doctor, bodyguard."

Last month, Willie held a two-day performance spectacular in Los Angeles to commemorate his ninetieth birthday.

A Brief Summary: Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow, George Strait, Miranda Lambert, and Willie Nelson's two kids, Lukas and Micah, who he has with D'Angelo, were among the performers at Willie Nelson 90.

In a recent interview with John Spong on the One By Willie podcast from Texas Monthly, Lukas repeated his father's feelings on the Nelson family matriarch.

Annie, Willie's fourth wife, was "an amazing person" in his son's eyes, and she should be credited heavily for her husband's long life.

She's courageous, honest, and full of brains. Like, she's really hot. Having her helps keep my dad in check, Lukas said. One of my mom's best qualities is the way she looks after my dad.
