Yellowstone's 6666 Show Is What No Other Spinoff Has Dared To Do Yet

The Yellowstone franchise is no stranger to spinoff series, but thankfully, its latest effort, Yellowstone: 6666, will accomplish something no spinoff series has ever done completely:

leave the Dutton ranch. Yellowstone is a neo-western drama that premiered in 2018. It stars Kevin Costner as John Dutton, the patriarch of the United States' largest contiguous ranch.

Aside from his cattle, Dutton must deal with governmental corruption, local violence, and problems caused by his own family members, all of whom are as determined as he is.

Since 2018, the Yellowstone world has grown considerably beyond the scope of the primary series.

The franchise's first spinoff prequel series, 1883, premiered in 2021. It traced the ancestors of John Dutton, who were the first of the Dutton family to establish at the famous Dutton Ranch in Montana.

A year later, a second prequel offshoot titled 1923 debuted. Similarly, this series chronicles the tale of the Dutton family in the 1920s, with links dating back to 1883.

There will be many more Yellowstone spinoffs in the future, but the next one, Yellowstone: 6666, will hopefully break the model set by its predecessors.

Yellowstone: 6666 will take over the reins and tell a fresh story just as the fifth season of Yellowstone comes to an end. Yellowstone: 6666, unlike other spinoffs, will ultimately move away from the Dutton Ranch and extend the Yellowstone realm.
